As a small charity we have both limited money and personnel so when new accommodation is needed for our residents it is usual for Andy to don her ‘construction worker’ cap and ‘do it herself’. Thanks to great tutoring from her father from a young age she is happy to tackle most things… although it has to be said the results can be variable!

Below is Andy’s latest project…

Juna came to Oasis recently and is not yet integrated into the Oasis family. So for the safety of all she needs to be in her own area for a little while longer… but as winter sets in and the days and nights get colder she needs a warmer kennel so Andy designed a ‘wagon’ style kennel insulated with sheep’s wool and space blankets to keep her warm. With her thick memory foam mattress (ideal to keep old joints more comfortable) inside she is now as snug as a bug 🙂
